Same views as the previous page, but this time taken from a bi-plan at low alitude.
Again, the vegetation that was destroyed by the 1980 blast. Notice on that one can see the extension of the blast on the left picture: the green trees draw an horizontal line.
The leveled trees all indicate the direction of the blast.
The first two pictures show that Spirit Lake has been submerged by the huge deposits of the pyroclastic flow in 1980 and is now higher in elevation than it used to be.
The white parts on the top of the lakes are destroyed floating logs.

A lot of lakes have appeared in the region. All the life you can find in them was brought by birds.
